Author Guidelines

The editorial board of Acta Astrophysica Taurica accepts original papers on observational and theoretical astrophysics. It also considers related topics in geophysics and solar physics. The journal welcomes works on ground-based and space astrophysical instruments, invited reviews, and conference proceedings. When submitting, the author guarantees that the manuscript is their original work, with co-authors, if any. The author also confirms it has never been published in the submitted form. The author must obtain consent from all co-authors. The article's materials must not have been published more than 50% elsewhere, except as a preprint. The author also guarantees that no copyright or other rights will be violated. All cited authors and publications are referenced as required by current copyright law.

The editorial board has the right to reject a submission if it does not fulfill the basic standards required for publication or if it clearly lies outside the field of astronomy. The editorial board does not enter into discussion with the authors of rejected manuscripts and reserves the right to make reductions and editorial changes to the manuscript.

  1. Formatting your manuscript
When formatting a manuscript for publication in Acta Astrophysica Taurica, authors should follow the journal's guidelines: formatting rules and a sample article in LaTeX format can be found on the Author Guidelines page, and instructions for formatting references can be found in the Reference Instructions section.

  2. Expert Review Statement
In accordance with the requirements of the Russian Federation legislation on state secrets and export control, all authors affiliated with Russian institutions must obtain an expert review statement (expertnoye zaklyucheniye) from their home institution confirming that the submitted material contains no classified information and can be published in open sources.

Authors are responsible for obtaining this document from their institution's expert commission prior to submission.

For authors not affiliated with Russian institutions, this requirement does not apply.

  3. Submitting your manuscript online
Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, log in and begin the five-step submission process. In your user dashboard, select "New Submission", read and agree to the statements in the submission checklist by verifying each requirement, and complete all mandatory fields. Next, enter the manuscript metadata and upload your manuscript as a PDF file. You can repeat the upload process for additional files (such as datasets, images, and supplementary documents). Keywords should be limited to 3-5 words or short phrases to ensure proper indexing. To enter a keyword, type the word or phrase in the appropriate field and press Enter. Fill in funding information (if applicable) in the same manner. In the author information section, complete the profile data for all co-authors (select "Add Contributor" in the "Contributors" panel). At the final step, review the entered information and complete your submission. Your manuscript will then be reviewed by a member of the editorial board. You can track the status of your submitted manuscript through the editorial process in your user dashboard. If your manuscript successfully passes peer review, you will need to upload a zip archive containing the manuscript file in LaTeX format, figure files.
